DWT Search Firm Submission Policy
Thank you for your interest in Davis Wright Tremaine LLP!

Posted Attorney Openings:
Through our search firm portal, you will have access to open positions in which we are seeking third-party assistance. Only approved search firms will be provided with their individual login information to submit candidates. For questions regarding approval, please consult our FAQs. If a position is posted, you do not need to submit a blind inquiry first. When submitting your associate candidate, please be sure to include their resume, cover letter, unofficial law school transcript (not grades drafted on a word document), brief relevant writing sample/deal sheet for which the candidate drafted a substantial portion, and the candidate’s personal contact information; this will complete your candidate’s application and we will not consider incomplete applications. We cannot accept writing samples exceeding 10 pages. Also, please take extra care to make sure you are uploading your candidate’s information to the correct candidate profile. For partner or counsel candidate submissions, a resume or bio will suffice and additional materials will be requested during the recruitment process.
Your submission of an applicant will only be effective for that particular office and position; they will not be considered for other open positions. To maintain the integrity of the process and avoid conflicts of interest, we will accept no more than two candidates for a position per search firm recruiter at a given time. If one or both of your candidates have been rejected, then you may re-submit.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are part of the fabric of Davis Wright Tremaine—central to who we are and what we do. Our vision is to foster a culture where all talented individuals—including those who are traditionally underrepresented in the legal profession—can have, and can see, a path to success. In order to support this vision, we request that you voluntarily provide the following demographic data for your candidate. All self-reported demographic information is stored securely in a manner that is compliant with DWT’s privacy and security policies and is only accessible by authorized members of the Talent Acquisition and HR Departments.

FAQ
• Can I submit candidates to someone not in recruiting? For example, the partner-in-charge or the office administrator of the office for the posted position?
Please do not submit your candidate to our lawyers, including the partner-in-charge for the relevant office or the office administrator. Your candidate will not be considered submitted in those circumstances. All submissions must be sent to the appropriate recruiting manager (if a blind inquiry) or through our search firm portal (posted position or we have authorized you to submit).
• How can I get approval to submit candidates?
By signing and returning our current DWT search firm agreement. If you have any questions regarding the terms of the agreement, please contact the recruiting manager for the position in which you are submitting your candidate.
• I have received my search firm ID, but it does not work. Who should I contact?
Please contact our Recruiting Assistants, Valerie Close at ValerieClose@dwt.com or Caitlin Hearn at CaitlinHearn@dwt.com and they will be able to assist you.
• I have submitted my candidate for consideration, what happens next?
Once your candidate has been submitted, they will be reviewed by the recruiting manager and the hiring partner. Once the review is complete, we will follow up with you regarding next steps.
