The New York office of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP seeks to hire a junior or mid-level commercial litigation associate attorney with at least two years of experience; large law firm or established boutique experience is required. The primary requirement is a keen desire to develop commercial litigation skills and practice. The candidate should have experience in commercial litigation pending in state and federal court, including responsibility for pleadings, motions and discovery. Excellent training, development, and opportunities for substantive responsibilities will be available to the selected candidate who exhibits desire to succeed in broad-based, collaborative commercial litigation practice in a growing group. Department handles a wide range of disputes, including debtor and creditor rights, breach of contract, tortious interference, fraud, unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, intellectual property, breach of fiduciary duties, and other business torts.
Requirements also include excellent academic credentials; oral advocacy and writing skills; references; and active membership, in good standing, of the New York State Bar; clerkship experience is considered.
