2024 DWT Pre-Law Diversity Fellowship Program
We are seeking Fellows who may have had limited exposure to career pathways in the legal profession. Successful candidates will demonstrate a potential for success that is consistent with DWT’s current candidate recruiting qualifications.

Selected Fellows will be invited to join the annual year-long DWT Pre-Law Diversity Fellowship program which will include: (1) a two half-day virtual legal immersion academy, (2) assignment of an attorney mentor from one of our client partners, (3) quarterly virtual cohort meetings, (4) a fully funded LSAT preparatory course (upon completion of the fellowship), and (5) a fully funded bar exam review course (upon acceptance to law school)

Program Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for this program, students must:
 
Must be a current sophomore or junior enrolled full-time and in good academic standing in an accredited 4-year degree program in California, New York, Oregon, Virginia, Washington State, or Washington D.C. 
Be committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive profession

Essay Prompts

We are seeking answers to the below prompts to assemble a cohort of program participants with a variety of experiences, interests, and goals. All information shared will be reviewed only by the selection committee, will be kept in confidence, and will not be disclosed to other program participants.
 
Prompt #1: In a maximum of 500 words, please answer all three of the following questions:
  1. Why are you interested in exploring a career in the legal field?
  2. Describe a challenge you faced, how you navigated it, and what you learned.
  3. Tell us about something you are particularly proud of (an achievement, demonstrated leadership, etc.).

Prompt #2:  In 300 words or less, please tell us what you hope to gain from participating in the Pre-Law Diversity Fellowship Program?
