Litigation and Regulatory Healthcare Associate – Midlevel – Los Angeles (preferred) or Seattle

Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is seeking a midlevel Healthcare Litigation & Regulatory Associate to join its nationally recognized Healthcare Practice Group in either Seattle or Los Angeles (preferred). We are looking for a strong healthcare associate focused on regulatory and litigation issues, ideally with 3–5 years of experience, to support the group’s growing medical staff and healthcare disputes and enforcement practices.

 

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced healthcare litigators and regulatory attorneys on sophisticated matters for healthcare providers, systems, and industry participants. The role is designed to provide focused development within healthcare litigation and regulatory enforcement work, with consistent mentorship and meaningful responsibility.

 

Responsibilities

 
The associate will work on a broad range of healthcare litigation and regulatory matters, including:
 
  • Healthcare litigation and commercial disputes
  • Medical staff and peer review matters
  • Licensing and board actions
  • Administrative enforcement proceedings
  • Fraud and abuse investigations and enforcement matters
  • Related regulatory and compliance disputes

 

Qualifications

 
  • 3–5 years of litigation experience, preferably at a law firm
  • Strong writing, research, advocacy, and case management skills
  • Experience handling litigation matters through various stages of dispute resolution
  • Interest in healthcare law, regulatory enforcement, and complex disputes
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work collaboratively across teams
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent professional judgment

Compensation & Benefits

 

 Salary Range: The annualized salary range for this position is $225,000 to $315,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate’s education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

 

 Core Benefits: Full-time employees may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance (with an optional Health Savings Account), dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, and disability.

 

 Paid Time Off (PTO): Full-time employees receive sick leave benefits in accordance with the appropriate state Sick & Safe Leave Policy. Attorneys generally take approximately three weeks of vacation annually, though the exact amount may vary depending on client and firm needs. The firm also provides 11 paid holidays each year.

 

 Additional Programs: Employees may participate in 401(k) retirement planning, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
