Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is seeking a midlevel Healthcare Transactional & Regulatory Associate to join its nationally recognized Healthcare Practice Group in either Seattle or Los Angeles (preferred). We are looking for an associate with 3–5 years of experience to support the group’s growing healthcare regulatory and transactions practice.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced healthcare attorneys on sophisticated transactional, operational, and regulatory matters for healthcare providers, health systems, and other industry participants. The role is designed to provide focused development within healthcare regulatory and transactional work, with meaningful mentorship, hands-on responsibility, and long-term growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
The associate will support a broad range of healthcare transactional and regulatory matters, including:
- Healthcare contract drafting and negotiations
- Operational and regulatory counseling for healthcare providers and health systems
- Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement advice
- Healthcare compliance and regulatory analysis, including fraud and abuse support
- Cross-disciplinary support on digital health, compliance, and healthcare transactional matters
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of relevant healthcare transactional and regulatory experience, preferably in a law firm setting
- Strong drafting, analytical, and client counseling skills
- Experience advising clients on regulatory and operational matters
- Demonstrated interest in healthcare law and the operational side of healthcare practice
- Ability to manage multiple matters and work collaboratively across teams
- Strong academic credentials and excellent professional judgment

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: The annualized salary range for this position is $225,000 to $315,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate’s education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
Core Benefits: Full-time employees may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance (with an optional Health Savings Account), dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, and disability.
Paid Time Off (PTO): Full-time employees receive sick leave benefits in accordance with the appropriate state Sick & Safe Leave Policy. Attorneys generally take approximately three weeks of vacation annually, though the exact amount may vary depending on client and firm needs. The firm also provides 11 paid holidays each year.
Additional Programs: Employees may participate in 401(k) retirement planning, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
